Vintage Japanese Folding Fan Sensu
This is a traditional Japanese folding fan called sensu. You can use this when it's hot or as decoration. This fan is made with a natural bamboo frame. The end pieces are lacquered brown in the Shunkei style. The front side has dolphins and a giant pink hibiscus flower on a pale yellow background. This fan was given out as a souvenir gift during the 1975 Expo located in Okinawa. The back side is plain beige. There is a red string attached to the bottom with a green resin bead.
