Vintage Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Offering Cup Stand
This is a vintage Japanese offering cup stand for a Buddhist altar. Also called bukki, this important altar accessory is made of resin and painted red with gold accents on the front three sides. It has a simple hexagonal shape with cutouts on all sides. It is often used in pairs to hold small cups of rice, sake, and more as an offering to Buddha and one's ancestors.
