Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Offering Table
This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist offering table, Kyozukue (no drawers). Sturdy and solid, this simple, brown wood table has a very modern look. It is typically placed inside or in front of a Buddhist altar. The original usage is for reading sutras, but it is also used as a stand for placing an incense burner or Orin (singing bowl bell). It is common to have a small drawer for small items such as prayer beads and candles.
