Vtg Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Scroll
This Japanese vintage paper hanging scroll (honzon or sanzonbutsu) represents three Buddhas, likely Amida Nyorai, Kannon Bosatsu and Seishi Bosatsu. This scroll is an icon displayed in Japanese Buddhist home altars, Butsudan. It is a powerful religious image, aimed to be at the center of an altar. This honzon is black and gold with a blue floral pattern on top and bottom. The image is red.
