Vtg Japanese Calligraphy Brush Holder Bamboo Mat

This is Japanese vintage brush holder, called a fudemaki, is used to store and carry calligraphy brushes. It is made of bamboo and is colored. There is a tassel to secure the holder. This brush holder does not have pockets. This type of holder protects brush tips and allows ventilation.
