Vintage Japanese Wagasa Umbrella w/Fabric Case
Whether paired with a beautiful kimono or in the hands of an elegant Geisha, Japanese traditional umbrellas (wagasa) are a popular fashion accessory as well as an eye-catching home decor piece.
This paper umbrella is mostly a golden yellow color with a red rim. It features a hand-painted design of red flowers on branches. The headpiece at the very top is a yellow and brown vinyl fabric with red string. The inner frame is natural bamboo and tied together with brown string. The handle is made of slender natural bamboo lacquered with black. Closed, the outer ribs are lacquered brown with orange tips. As a plus, it comes with a red fabric case for storage.
