Vtg Japanese Lacquered Flower Vase, Kabin w/Box
This is a vintage Shunkei-Nuri flower vase (kabin) from Hida Takayama in Gifu, a traditional and popular craft in Japan. It has a glossy caramel brown lacquer and has a curved leaf-shape that gives it a striking appearance from all angles, which makes it perfect for ikebana and other floral arrangements. There is a removable metal insert that protects the vase from moisture and plant material. The two stand pieces are missing. It comes with the original paper box.
