Japanese Hanging Scroll Weights Fuchin
This is a pair of Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) weights, or fuchin. Fuchin is a decoration that hangs on both ends of the bottom of a hanging scroll. It's a decoration as well as weighs the scroll down to keep it straight.
This item features two kutani ware porcelain round weights colored red with handpainted gold designs. It has gold twisted silk tassels with a gold accent underlayer at the head.
