Antique Japanese Porcelain Rice Bowl
This item is an antique Japanese porcelain bowl made for rice. It is a beautiful example of the kutani imari style of pottery which uses bright, vivid colors often with gold accents and elaborate images of scenery, animals, flowers, etc. This particular bowl features flying ducks, some flowers, and a scene that looks like a pagoda on a dock. the inside is a sometsuke blue and white with a patterned inner border and a rin in the bottom with plum blossoms and pine needle. While mainly for rice, soup, or other small dishes, this bowl is also a beautiful display piece.
