This is a vintage Japanese large porcelain donburi bowl. This versatile bowl with a blue and white sometsuke design that features flowers and circles is used for rice meals, or donburi. Donburi typically consists of a rice base with some sort of meat, egg, fried food, and or vegetable main covering the top.
