Antique Japanese Paper Storage Box

This is an antique Taisho era Japanese paper storage box. Using a simple hariko paper mache base on an old box, the crafter of this item used old business ledger notes to fortify the inside and give it a unique look. The lid fits snuggly on top. The kanji on the side says “Kawamura” which is likely a family name.

• Good condition considering age. Tear on lid corner. Paper damage/holes from insects, storage, and handling. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
