Vtg Japanese Teacup Yunomi for Sencha
Details: This is a vintage Japanese teacup or Japanese Yunomi from Japan. This cup is a pottery. It has a beautiful sometsuke hand painted blue and white. There's a signature at the bottom which can be read ''Dai min sei ka nen sei'' meaning Greatest Ming Chenghua period make. The signature at the bottom is an imitation of Chinese mark, Ming dynasty Chenghua. Original signature was put on the porcelains made around 1465-1487 in Jingdezhen, China. It is said those porcelains were the greatest ones. So Japanese people imitated the signature and put it on porcelains that they made. Condition: Good condition considering it's age. There is a slight crack. Please see the photos. Wear and tear due to the age.
