This is a Japanese hanging scroll (Kakejiku) weight, Fuchin. This is Kutani ware. It has a rectangle shape and is written in kanji as 寿 (celebration). Fuchin is a decoration that hangs on both ends of the bottom of a hanging scroll. It’s a decoration and a weight.
