Vtg Japanese Ceramic Shishi Lion Dog Statue

This is a ceramic guardian Shishi statue (foo dog). Glazed green, blue, and brown, this particular statue can also be called komainu or Shisa (Okinawa). They typically come in pairs, one with an open mouth (to frighten away evil) and one with a closed mouth (to keep the good spirits safe inside). This statue has an open mouth.
