Vtg Japanese Ceramic Hibachi Brazier Ashtray Haizara
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic ashtray (haizara). It is pottery made from red clay (Shudei). It has a metal cigarette holder on it. It can be used in three ways removing a metal holder and using it as a brazier (hibachi), or incense burner (Koro). There is a picture of a pine tree and a poem in Kanji. It is written in Zen words as 松樹千年翠``Matsuju Thousand Years of Green'', and since pine trees are green regardless of the season, it means that it is important not to be swept away by the world and not to lose your individuality.
