Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Orin Bell 

This is a vintage Japanese orin bell for Buddhist altars. It contains a Bronze bowl with a dark brown wooden striker. It rests on a red and gold silk pillow with a yellow tassel. Singing bowls are sounded during ritual prayer.
Orin bell sound can reach the Buddha in the Pure Land. It is also used to ward off people’s evil spirits and convey prayers to the Buddha, ancestors, and the deceased through sound.
