The piece is a square shape with purple tassels on each corner as well as one at the center on the top side. This can be used for orin singing bells, but are also perfect for small mokugyo (wooden frog) instruments.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSinging bowls are sounded during ritual prayer. Orin bell sound can reach the Buddha in the Pure Land. It is also used to ward off people's evil spirits and convey prayers to the Buddha, ancestors, and the deceased through sound.
