Vintage Japanese Decorative Samurai Armor for Boys' Festival w/Box
This is a vintage miniature samurai armor (Yoroi) set used for display decoration during the Boys' Festival. It is housed in a matte black sturdy resin box with a vibrant orange cord. It contains multiple pieces including: Helmet with komainu ornament and finials, mask, body piece, draping bottom panels, and a wooden stand. The armor features floral designs and crafted from gold-colored metal pieces and bright orange cords. Overall, this piece is orange, beige, and gold. The box paired with the stand creates the illusion of a seated armored man. It comes with the original paper box.
The Boys' Festival, more modernly called Children's Day, is an annual Japanese holiday on May 5th every year and is celebrated to pray for good health and fortune for growing children.
