Details: This is a vintage Japanese Kiseto or Kizeto green tea bowl or Chawan from Japan. Japanese green tea bowls are very popular in Japan and they are often used at the tea ceremonies. Ki-Seto is high-fired ware that originated in the late 16th century and is part of the Mino family of ceramic styles. Mino wares are typically produced in the Seto and Mino areas of Gifu Prefecture. There are four Mino styles and they relate almost exclusively to the tea ceremony. Get this item today to add to your Japanese collections.
