Vtg Japanese Kimekomi Ningyo Fabric Doll Zodiac Rabbit

This vintage Japanese Kimekomi decorative fabric doll represents a rabbit, one of the Chinese zodiac animals, and is a decoration for the New Year. It has a wooden base with silk fabric applied according to the kimekomi technique. The rabbit is holding a bell with a red tasseled cord. The body is a combination of white, red, gold, and orange fabric in varying patterns.
