Vtg Japanese Kimekomi Ningyo Fabric Doll Zodiac Boar

This vintage Japanese Kimekomi decorative fabric doll represents a wild boar, one of the Chinese zodiac animals, and is a decoration for the New Year. It has a wooden base with silk fabric applied according to the kimekomi technique. The boar is leaping and has Daikokuten, one of the 7 Lucky Gods riding on its back. The body of the boar is a coppery brown color while Daikokuten is a combination of orange, white, and light blue fabrics.
