Vintage Japanese Woven Silk Wallet w/Box

This is a small Japanese wallet with a woven green and gold silk Ainu traditional pattern on the outside. It features a “gamaguchi” kiss-lock clasp. Inside is two separated pockets. A plastic Ainu wood bear decorative strap is attached to the side. Ainu are the indigenous people of northern Japan (Hokkaido area) and are well known for their various wood carvings. Original box is included.
