Vtg Japanese Kokeshi Doll Handmade Ornament Figurine

This is a vintage Japanese traditional craft wooden kokeshi doll, figurine. The daruma in the shape of a gourd has the kanji written meaning “Good fortune”. Kokeshi are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years (the late Edo period) as a toy and amulets for children.
