This is a vintage Japanese carved wooden mask (omen) of Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. It is a natural wood color. A red string is attached. Ebisu is the god of wealth, fishing, and trade. It is a beloved and common symbol of luck and good fortune in Japan.
