Vtg Japanese Wooden Saucer Coaster Chataku

This is a vintage Japanese wooden lacquered Shunkei-Nuri drink saucer or coaster. It is called Chataku in Japan. It is used when serving tea to guests. Shunkei-nuri is a traditional craft of Hida Takayama, Gifu Prefecture. This is a beautiful shiny brown coaster.
