Vintage Japanese Wooden Tansu Storage Chest

This is a vintage Japanese storage chest, also called tansu. Stained a lovely reddish-brown with a clear brushed lacquer finish, this gorgeous chest has five drawers (two smaller, three larger), each with simple black metal handle hardware. This tansu chest can be used for storing sewing supplies (as a haribako), jewelry, hobby supplies, or other trinkets.
