Vtg Japanese Wooden Tansu Storage Chest

This is a vintage Japanese storage chest, also called tansu. A deep brown color with a brushed lacquer finish, this small chest has four half-sized drawers and one full-width drawers with decorative black metal hardware. All corners as well as the inside front-panel corners of each drawer have black metal embellishments for extra appeal. This particular design style is called sendai. This beautiful tansu chest can be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
