Japanese Brushed Lacquered Wooden Tansu Storage Chest

This is a Japanese storage chest, also called tansu. A rich brown color with a clear brushed lacquer coat, this small chest has three similar-sized drawers with decorative metal hardware. The insides of the drawers are unlined. The front corners of the drawers and all corners of the rest of the box have black metal accents. This beautiful tansu chest can be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
