Japanese Wooden Haribako Sewing Chest

This is a Japanese sewing box, also called Haribako. Finished with a dark brown color, it displays gorgeous natural wood grain. This tansu chest has five differently-sized drawers with simple metal hardware. A panel in the lid opens to reveal two compartments. There is a slot on the right-hand side that was used to store a flat ruler.This beautiful piece can be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
