Vtg Japanese Wooden Souvenir Figurine

This is a small wooden figurine with two hand-carved people wearing traditional clothes. One is posed with some sort of plate or fan, while the other is crouched and holding a winnowing basket with a small basket attached at the hip. This scene represents loach scooping, which is a fishing activity done by using a basket to fish for loach. The figures are glued to a small wooden board.
