Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Box 

Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts, including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food. 

This box is made from wood and has five compartments. Please note that the sixth compartment is closed. It was used to store Hagi ware cups and it is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.
