Vtg Japanese Traditional Kokeshi Doll 

This is a vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine. Kokeshi are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children. This stout kokeshi doll does not have a face other than eyebrows, and it has a carved and painted kimono on the body. There is a knob on the top to symbolize perhaps a bun or top knot.
