Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Chest

This is a large Japanese storage chest made of fragrant hinoki wood. It contains four drawers, two of which have built-in iron locks (key not included). It uses simple metal hardware. At one time, this chest had a lockable, removable door panel at the front, but it is missing. This item may have been a lock box or safe.
