Japanese Brushed Lacquered Wooden Tansu Storage Chest

This is a Japanese storage chest, also called tansu. A rich brown color with a clear brushed lacquer coat, this small chest has two half-sized drawers and one full-sized drawer with metal handles and a beautiful makie picture of flowers and foliage. The insides of the drawers are unlined. This beautiful tansu chest can be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
