Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Doll

This vintage Japanese wooden doll has a simple, classic design. The body is made of birch looking wood and is painted with fall landscape featuring a mountain and orange leaves, and a calligraphy of a poem. The face style is young with a playful expression and the hair features hair attached at the back with a red ribbon or string.

Kokeshi dolls are traditional toys and figurines crafted from wood that are an excellent decorative representation of Japanese craftsmanship and traditional culture.
