Vtg Japanese Clay Cow Zodiac Decoration

This is a small vintage Japanese clay figurine of a cow. It is lightweight and is painted a matte red color. There are painted gold accents on the side and tail. 
Cow, or ushi, is one of the twelve signs of Japanese Zodiac (Junishi). There is a sign for each year and a full cycle is repeated after 12 years. It is common to display the year’s sign in the entrance or in the living room in Japan.

• Good condition considering age. Some light scratches and white spots on red paint. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
