Japanese Shell Kokeshi Doll

This vintage Japanese shell kokeshi figurine represents a frog. It looks like a Kappa, too. Some types of shell or clam are used to make this frog. A spring connects the head and body, and that makes the head wobbly. There is an inscription on the body. It stands on a wooden stand.

• Good condition considering age.  Discoloration. Faded top coating. Chip on the head back. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
