Vintage Japanese Resin Lacquer Replica Serving Tray, Obon 

This vintage Japanese serving tray is made of resin. Made to mimic classic lacquer, this tray is black with a red painted design that features peony flowers (botan). It is rectangular with handles and a short raised edge so drinks cannot easily slide off. 
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one’s home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.
