Vtg Japanese Porcelain Tiger Zodiac Decoration

This is a small vintage Japanese porcelain figurine of a tiger. It is lightweight and is painted a smooth matte white color. It is a simplistic style with minimal details.
Tigers, or tora, is one of the twelve signs of Japanese Zodiac (Junishi). There is a sign for each year and a full cycle is repeated after 12 years. It is common to display the year’s sign in the entrance or in the living room in Japan.
