Vintage Japanese Porcelain Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement

This is a vintage porcelain Japanese flower vase, or suiban. This piece is a round shallow bowl shape with a flat bottom. It is white with a smooth texture and three short decorative feet.
Suiban means “water tray” and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that hold ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used as a base for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai.
