This is a vintage Japanese porcelain plate. This round, small plate, also called mamezara, is white and blue with a rope net design. Mamezara are tiny plates in a Japanese tableware set that typically hold dipping sauces such as soy sauce, garnishes, and other condiments. It is also the perfect size for holding small jewelry.
