Vintage Japanese Porcelain Rice Bowl

This item is a vintage Japanese Mino Ware porcelain rice bowl. This wide-mouthed small bowl is white with a blue design commonly known as “Shepard’s Purse” that contains leaves, vines, and clusters of seeds. It can also be used for side dishes or as a chawan for drinking tea. Rice bowls are made to be lightweight and held in one hand (thumb on rim, other fingers on foot).
