Vintage Japanese Paper Uchiwa Fan

This is a Japanese vintage paper fan or Uchiwa. An uchiwa is a traditional fan tool typically made of wood or bamboo and paper in a flat paddle-like shape. This particular fan features a daruma doll with kanji on its sides. This lacquered paper uchiwa is red and black with gold and beige accents.
