Vtg Japanese Wooden Hotei Art

This is a large vintage Japanese hand-carved wooden board art depicting one of the Seven Lucky Gods, Hotei. Hotei is often associated with good fortune, popularity, and is considered a guardian of children. His prominent features include a bald head and a round, often exposed, belly. He carries a large branch with a sack and a hyotan gourd bottle attached to it. This piece also has a large pine tree and a rising sun.
