Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wood Bento w/ Box

This is a vintage Japanese lacquered bento lunch box called jubako. It is two-tier and a caramel brown, true to the shunkei-nuri style of lacquerware.  The lower box has a handle for easy carrying. This item contains a set of chopsticks that can be set on the lid. While it can be used for small meals, it can also be used as a sweets container or kashiki for sencha and tea ceremonies. It comes with the original washi paper box.
