Vintage Japanese Lacquered Box With Lid

This is a Japanese lacquered wooden box with a cover lid and attached tassels. This small box is black. It is lined with white and silver washi paper on the inside. Two red tassels are attached to the box by metal parts on both sides. They enable the lid to be secure and also have a decorative purpose. The lid has cutouts on the longer sides and two characters on gold on the top.

• Good condition considering age. Marks. Stains and discoloration on the inside of the box. Some aging on the metal parts. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
