Vintage Japanese Wooden Snack Bowl

This is a Japanese vintage snack bowl, or kashiki, in the Aidu-Nuri style. It is a dark reddish brown color with a floral makie. The surface is glossy and smooth. It is typically used for serving snacks, such as senbei crackers or sweets, to guests in one’s home, business, etc. It is also commonly used in tea ceremonies to serve and display traditional namagashi sweets. 
It can also be used for multipurpose functions such as holding fruit. It comes with the original washi paper box.
