Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Tray w/Box

This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and or snacks to guests in one’s home, business, etc. A shining brown in Hida Shunkei style with lovely wood grain on display, this sturdy round tray provides both function and beautiful decor. This tray features tall sides that prevent items from sliding off while carrying. The original box is included.

• Kanji on box: Shunkei Lacquerware from Hida (hida shunkei shikki)
• Item weight: 700 grams
• Packed weight: 1500 grams
• Approx. 33 cm wide x 4 cm tall
• Good condition considering its age. Light scratches. Box has torn corner. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
