Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Tray

This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one’s home, business, etc.
Coated in medium brown lacquer on the front side and black on the back, this simple and sturdy square tray with a subtle line pattern and flat corners provides both function and beautiful decor in any space.

• Approx.  31.5 cm long x 31 cm wide x 3 cm tall
• Good condition considering its age. Scratches. Lacquer has pulled away from the edge on the inside base. Some warping on bottom where rim and base have shifted. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
