Vtg Japanese Lacquerware Table Legged Tray Ozen

This is a vintage Japanese lacquered wooden table or ozen. This low square table is lacquered black with a gold border edge and a brown underside. It stand low to the ground on four simple legs. It features a beautiful makie gold design of flying birds and plants. This table is used on the floor for traditional meals at tea houses, kaiseki restaurants, and ryokan inns. One table is used by only one individual and sometimes it is paired with another smaller ozen.
